Role Summary:
This role is designed for someone beginning their career in AgTech. As a Trainee you will start in the field learning to install and maintain INCYT equipment, support the Sales team across a mix of tasks, gain practical experience with customers and technology, and build the skills needed for a future technical sales role. No industry experience is required. Enthusiasm, strong communication and a willingness to learn matter more; full training is provided. The position is permanent and full-time, with an immediate start available.
Key Responsibilities:
Field Installation and Maintenance
- Install INCYT devices on farms, including water level and tank monitoring, soil probes, trackers, weather and spray towers, and engine monitoring. Training is provided for all of it.
- Carry out routine servicing, sensor and network device changes, basic fault finding and repairs.
- Complete site checks before installation and testing afterwards, so equipment works first time.
- Keep accurate job records, photos and asset details in company systems.
- Manage stock, tools and vehicle equipment for your region.
Sales and Customer Support
- Assist the Sales team with preparing documents, quotes, reports and presentations.
- Support customer onboarding by helping organise equipment and basic setup tasks, with training provided.
- Participate in farm visits alongside senior staff to learn how products are demonstrated and supported.
- Over time, take on customer relationships and sales opportunities in your area as your experience builds.
Technical Support
- Learn how INCYT products and applications work.
- Help customers with basic questions and troubleshooting, escalating to the technical team where needed.
- Maintain accurate notes, data entry and follow-ups in CRM systems.
Industry and Partner Support
- Help coordinate field days, events and partner activities.
- Assist in preparing training material and supporting dealers with simple tasks.
- Gather customer and partner feedback and pass it on to the relevant teams.
Internal Team Support
- Work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Operations and Product teams on small tasks and projects.
- Assist with administrative duties such as scheduling, documentation, meeting notes and general organisation.
Skills & Attributes:
- Current driver's licence, and confidence driving long distances on rural and unsealed roads.
- Practical, hands-on aptitude and comfort using basic hand and power tools.
- Physically able to work outdoors in all conditions, and to lift and position equipment.
- Interest in agriculture and technology, with a willingness to learn hands-on.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organised, reliable and able to follow instructions.
- Comfortable travelling regularly to farms and events as required.
- Right to work in Australia.
Advantageous But Not Required:
- Background in farming, agronomy, irrigation, trades, machinery or auto electrical work.
- Basic 12V, electrical, plumbing or mechanical experience.
- Familiarity with cotton or broadacre farming operations.
- Currently studying Agriculture, Agribusiness, AgTech, Marketing, Environmental Science or a related field.
